The Breakfast Club

The Breakfast Club starts off with several students turning up to a detention, the transport used within the opening scene allows us to understand about each character and their personality.

The film starts of with a closeup on a BMW, this would immediately imply that this person is quite wealthy because in those times having a car like that would be expensive. This would then allow the audience to understand that the girl is wealthy which allows us to understand their personality.

However this car allows us to understand that this persons family isn't that rich because his transport to school is a fairly cheap car.

This screenshot shows us that this persons family is fairly wealthy as the car allows us to understand that this was a typical work car.

However this picture shows us that this person is walking by himself which may imply that he is a rebel and his own man because his parents has not dropped him off.

This screenshot shows us that this person is middle class as the car she turns up with is a typical car to use within those times, however when she was going to say goodbye to her parent they started to drive off which may give the sense to the audience that her parents are either disappointed or just don't show much care for her.

What i would use for my transport to get to college would either be a car, bus or train. In our film, if we decide to make an opening transport scene we would most likely use a bicycle, bus or train. These types of transport is easy to use and would be suitable for our price range.
