Define Stereotype


  • A widely held but fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person or thing.
  • Pre-set for a character
  • Generalisation about a particular group of people
  • An image of a particular type of person

Bring It On

Cheerleading film normally contains; Pom poms, cheerleading outfits, girly clothes, make up, blonde hair, good figure and bitchy.

The Breakfast Club

The Jock is normally seen as the person that girls like, plays sports and is also friends with many people.

The Token Black guy is normally seen as happy, wearing casual clothing, always around people and always commenting on stuff.
